DESCRIPTION:EVENT DETAILS \nThe Perth African Nations Basketball Championships welcomes basketball players to represent their teams in a round robin style competition in various categories including youths and seniors. \nThe tournament will be 27 – 28 – 29 January 2024.   \nEach category can accommodate 10-12 teams. Teams must check in 40 minutes prior to game time. Payment is due upon registration. \nFREE ENTRY FOR GIRLS/BOYS U15`s. \n$400.00 ENTRY FEE FOR – U18`s & Open Age\, mixed male and female teams. DESCRIPTION:Register for this event – limited places only! \nAs part of Perth African Nations Sports Association’s drive for community inclusion\, supported by Department of Local Government\, Sport and Culture Industries\, we are working with Diversity Focus to support clubs and state sporting associations to better cater for the needs of multicultural communities in Western Australia. \nEvery person who wants to participate in sport and recreation should have a welcoming\, friendly and inclusive environment they can call their own. This is one of the steps towards making the participation and volunteering space at clubs better for our community. \nNew dates will shortly be published for registrations to participate in a workshop and discover ways of engaging with our community.

DESCRIPTION:We are calling on all of the African sport and community football fans – put Sunday 23 July on your calendar!!! \nBring your family and friends to watch Jaguar FC versus Peel United kicking off 3pm at the reserve at Herb Graham Recreation Centre\, Ashbury Crescent\, Mirrabooka\, and then see a fun international documentary on the community and football at a later date which will feature some of our African-Australian sports people and the crowd from this match. We encourage you to bring musical instruments and dress to showcase African pride. \nNo RSVPs or tickets apply for the match\, however as per competition rules ground marshalls will be active ensuring the crowd is family friendly and that crowd behaviour showcases our community. \nWe look forward to seeing you there.

SUMMARY:PANSA Africa Day Sport Festival
DESCRIPTION:The 2023 Africa Day Sport Festival featured a family-friendly 4-team community exhibition at Curtin University parallel to the Organisation of African Communities WA Africa Day Celebration. \nA large crowd gathered to celebrate Africa Day and see teams Liberia\, Edmund Rice Centre\, Zambia and Zimbabwe play short exhibition games to the Perth sunset and under lights. Team Liberia won their two matches and took the trophy and medals\, while all enjoyed the inter-community harmony that came from people of many different backgrounds and playing styles coming together. \nPerth African Nations Sports Association looks forward to delivering bigger and better in 2024!
